We are looking to add a Safety and Maintenance Coordinator to our Facilities and Safety team. Together, the team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Town Dock’s buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles, and vessels to ensure continuous productivity within the business.  In addition, this team has a constant focus on the safety and wellbeing of our employees, and any contractors, guests or visitors at the Town Dock.

In this role, this individual reports to the Sr. Manager of Facilities & Safety and is responsible for organization of the maintenance and safety department on a daily, weekly and monthly basis..  This position works primarily out of our Narragansett facility, and is expected to travel to the Johnston location as needed. 

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Provides administrative support to Senior Manager of Facilities and Safety and this department, including but not limited to filing, data entry, scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Respond to calls and inquires to the department from various sources: take messages, answer questions, determine appropriate action and assist in resolution, review with Sr. Manager
  • Manage Workflow of work orders for Maintenance repairs, calls, and projects; assist in coordinating service calls, vendor appointments and gathering service quotes
  • Work with the team on ordering parts and supplies if needed
  • Assist in daily and long term coordination and organization of projects; developing agendas, preparing reports
  • Support communication in the facilitation of team meetings to ensure teams remain on schedule and in compliance with training requirements
    • Attend and participate in Safety Committee meetings
  • Conduct and participate in monthly inspections and audits as needed including walking around physical plant to execute “walk throughs”
  • Work closely with Sr. Manager to ensure all safety training and scheduling is kept up to date and assist with maintaining documentation compliance and execution of policies
  • Learning regulations and how it applies to documentation and compliance within the role
  • Assist in the development and implementation of plant specific policies, procedures, and programs to achieve and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay current and ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations and record keeping requirements for each.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Fluent communication in English, including reading and writing required, Bi-lingual a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
  • Professional communication verbally and in writing, to provide quality customer service
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.

The Town Dock is offering a $1,000 Sign-on bonus to qualified new hires.

Our team is growing again, and we are looking to add a Sourcing Strategy Assistant I to our Sourcing Strategy team. The Sourcing Strategy Team is responsible for supporting international sourcing strategy activities at The Town Dock.

The Sourcing Strategy Assistant I is responsible for data entry and documentation tasks related to the timely international purchasing and processing of seafood products, as well as maintenance of various spreadsheets. Additional responsibilities include cross-training for logistics tasks and supporting the Director of Sourcing Strategy with planning, analyses, and reporting.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

Principal Duties

  • Creates and maintains paperless files such as Signed Pro forma Invoices and Purchase Orders
  • Communicates confirmed orders, payment status, and shipment status with suppliers
  • Prepares bank documentation and communicates with the bank and suppliers
  • Maintains various spreadsheets such as shipments, inventory, production, forecasts, and trackers
  • Creates and maintains written procedures for the department
  • Compiles industry reports
  • Reviews and corrects production reports, including processing accuracy
  • Monitors inventory
  • Plans purchase and production orders
  • Reconciles inventory on weekly production reports
  • Enters production work orders in ERP
  • Enters sales orders and invoicing for exports
  • Collects and organizes vendor documentation
  • Reviews pre-shipment and production photos for packaging, labeling and product accuracy
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Our team is growing again, and we are looking to add a Inside Sales Support role to our Sales team. The Sales Team is responsible for the company’s sales and marketing at The Town Dock.

In this role, this individual is responsible for providing administrative/clerical assistance to the Sales Team.   This position primarily works out of the Narragansett facility. 

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Purchase orders must be entered into ERP system, verified and confirmed with the customer using fax or email.
  • Enter all sample orders, as requested by sales staff, into ERP system and provide confirmation to the salesperson.
  • Manage all sales calls and direct to the correct staff member.
  • Monitor the USA Allocation program by checking a list provided by the Inside Sales Coordinator.
  • Communicate with customers as needed, i.e. minimum shipping weight requirements, pricing adjustments.
  • Actively work with customers to resolve frozen sales order issue resolution.
  • Update and Maintain FSE, a Broadliner database and portal.
  • Work on special administrative sales projects as needed.
  • Greet any customers or vendors entering the office as well as answer calls routed to the general inquiry line.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 

Ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years’ experience in a professional office.
  • Skills and ability to use a personal computer, various software packages, and perform internet research.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time for administrative work
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to fluently speak and read English
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Our team is growing again, and we are looking to add an International Logistics Coordinator I role to our International Logistics team. The International Logistics team is responsible for all of the International Logistics activity at The Town Dock.

In this role, this individual is responsible for providing administrative/clerical assistance to the International Logistics team.  This position primarily works out of the Narragansett facility. 

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Files ISFs and works through established import checklist, from receipt of preshipment documents to delivery of orders at cold storage
  • Reviews import documents for accuracy
  • Works with customs broker on import portal for timely document submission for customs clearance
  • Enters absorptions into computer system
  • Maintains filing of import folders
  • Maintains various departments spreadsheets including, but not limited to, Inbound to US, CBP Master Entry, and Import Spreadsheet
  • Tracks any missing or outstanding documents & engages with suppliers accordingly
  • Maintains digital files for all transactions
  • Files customs required documents (delivery orders, FDA may proceeds)
  • Processes broker invoices for A/P to keep account current
  • Reviews Shipping Line Invoice accuracy to contract rates
  • Updates department spreadsheets from customs broker portal
  • Manages Labeling Software system for printing and arranging labels for department needs
  • Cross-trains and assists with domestic logistics and inventory management as needed
  • Performs additional job-related duties as assigned 

Ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in logistics administration or similar role
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Self-starter with organized and detailed work habits and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work well under rapidly changing and demanding time constraints
  • Ability to independently solve problems and work cross-culturally
  • Driven to work collaboratively and strategically
  • Proactive and preventative mindset
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and able to sit for long periods of time
  • Expected to travel to and work from the Narragansett facility; travel to the Johnston facility and other domestic vendor locations as needed
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to learn Seasoft, Bar Tender, and other software as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written) in English required

Our team is growing and we are looking to add an Operations Associate to our Operations team.

In this role, this individual reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting the Operations team with all aspects of the daily physical work of the Back Dock and Production. We have open positions at both our Narragansett & Johnston Facilities.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Sorting fish
  • Unloading boats
  • Preparing orders
  • Loading/unloading trucks
  • Cleaning/Sanitizing Equipment
  • Assembly line support work
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Basic knowledge of species of fish or ability to learn.
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy.
  • Physically capable of performing manual work including lifting, bending, walking, shoveling, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Physical ability to lift 75 pounds consistently.
  • Ability and skills to operate machinery once trained and certified.
  • Skills and ability to operate forklift and pallet jack safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work in fluctuating conditions – heat, cold, wind.
  • Organized and careful work habits.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime as schedule necessitates.
  • Basic written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse multi-lingual environment.
