The Town Dockers Take on The Warrior Dash
Another year, another Warrior Dash for the Town Dockers. On Saturday, August 18, a group of brave Town Dock employees tackled The Warrior Dash when the popular obstacle course made a stop in Thompson, CT.
You truly have to be a warrior to take on this challenge. Participants race through 12 obstacles, climb over a mud wall, wade through water, jump over fire, while completing a 5k. But it’s worth it for the post-race party that includes food, music, contests, and don’t forget about the fuzzy helmets!
The team tested its strength and had a beautiful New England summer day for the race. Word has it training for next year’s race will be starting soon!
By participating in the Warrior Dash, The Town Dock had the opportunity to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To date, there has been close to $15 million raised, and every dollar goes toward St. Jude Red Frog Events Proton Therapy Center. Proton therapy is the most advanced form of radiation technology available to patients, and this will be the first in the world dedicated solely to children, designed specifically to meet the needs of young patients. The Town Dock is proud to contribute to such a great cause!
