The updated bag designs feature a clean, modernized look tailored to improve functionality in busy commercial kitchens and wholesale distribution channels. While the exterior graphics have changed, the product inside remains exactly the same. Restaurant operators and chefs will receive the same culinary-grade, tender calamari they have relied on for decades.

The packaging update focuses on operational efficiency in fast-paced kitchen environments. Walk-in freezers and cold storage areas can become disorganized during peak hours, making quick inventory identification essential.

The new 2.5 lb. bags address this with:

• Clearer Typography: Larger, bolder text makes it easier to read the name of each product line. 
• Tweaked Color Coding: Small changes to help differentiate the colors also help staff quickly differentiate between product lines. 
• Product Windows: A larger transparent window allows staff to easily identify if the calamari is rings or tubes and if it contains tentacles or not.

By removing unnecessary visual clutter, the new design ensures kitchen staff can locate the correct product quickly, reducing prep errors and speeding up inventory management.

Unchanged Product Specifications

This transition is strictly visual; there are no changes to the raw materials, product specifications, count sizes, or processing standards. The Town Dock’s 2.5 lb. bags will continue to deliver the same professionally cleaned rings, tentacles, and tubes.

Transition Details for Distributors and Operators

The updated 2.5 lb. packaging is moving into supply chains throughout 2026. It will phase in naturally and buyers may see old or new packaging throughout 2026.
