For the second year in the row, The Town Dock received Providence Business News’s Rhode Island Best Places to Work award in the mid-size employer category. That meant we had to celebrate!
A small group, a cross section of our departments, went to the official PBN Best Places Awards Night in Warwick, Rhode Island, on June 13, 2019. This fun and informal night includes dinner and the awards ceremony, and many companies dress up and decorate their tables. We paid homage to the loud and ubiquitous dock-dweller: the seagull! They are everywhere here – including in our logo.
On June 20, we hosted a cookout for all our employees. Everyone enjoyed lunch featuring a calamari cook off between two of our in-house chefs (check out the recipes: calamari ceviche and calamari white bean salad). We were grateful that the rain held off long enough to enjoy a few games, including bean bag toss, ladder ball, and bocce ball.
We were happy to say thank you to and celebrate with our employees who make The Town Dock a great place to work!
